Reverse Osmosis (RO) Pure Water Equipment Product Introduction

Reverse osmosis (RO) is currently the most widely used high-pressure membrane separation desalination process. Using a semi-permeable membrane as the separation medium and driven by pressure higher than the osmotic pressure, it efficiently separates salts, organic matter, microorganisms, and other impurities in water from water molecules. Jing'anlan reverse osmosis pure water equipment uses high-quality spiral-wound reverse osmosis membrane elements, complete with well-equipped pretreatment, high-pressure pumps, automatic control, and cleaning systems. It is divided into two major series: single-stage reverse osmosis and double-stage reverse osmosis. The produced water resistivity can reach 0.05~1MΩ·cm, with a stable desalination rate of ≥99%, meeting the preparation needs of industrial pure water and production water across various industries.

Working Principle

The core principle of reverse osmosis is the reverse osmosis process. An operating pressure of 1.0~1.6MPa (adjusted according to the feedwater salinity) is applied on the feedwater side, forcing water molecules to pass through the reverse osmosis semi-permeable membrane into the permeate side, while dissolved salts, colloids, organic matter, bacteria, viruses, and other impurities in the water are retained on the concentrate side and discharged with the concentrate.

  • Single-stage reverse osmosis: can remove over 98% of dissolved salts and almost all colloids, organic matter, and microorganisms in water, meeting conventional industrial pure water needs

  • Double-stage reverse osmosis: uses the single-stage permeate as feedwater to further enhance desalination, producing higher-purity pure water that can serve as feedwater for EDI ultrapure water systems

By adjusting the process arrangement and membrane element types, a system recovery rate of 50%~85% can be achieved, meeting water-saving needs in different scenarios.

  3. High degree of automation and low operation and maintenance intensity. The system is equipped with a PLC fully automatic control system, enabling automatic start/stop, high and low pressure protection, automatic flushing, fault alarms, and other functions, requiring no manual intervention during operation. The service life of membrane elements can reach 3~5 years. Daily operation and maintenance only require regular monitoring of water quality parameters, replacement of pretreatment consumables, and periodic chemical cleaning.

  4. Modular customization, adaptable to various working conditions. It can be flexibly configured according to treated water volume, influent water quality, and permeate water standards. A single system's permeate capacity can cover a range from 0.5m³/h to several hundred m³/h; the frame and piping can be made of anti-corrosion carbon steel, 304/316 stainless steel, and other materials, adapting to the hygiene and anti-corrosion requirements of different industries such as food, pharmaceutical, and chemical.
